Tania Kernaghan will perform for the families in Toowoomba that have been devastated by the recent inland Tsunami.
The Ozworks planned production of Local Heroes that was to feature as the 2011 Heritage Toowoomba Royal Show from March 31 to April 2 has been postponed due to the recent flood devastation. As you may have read on the Local Heroes page under Arena Spectaculars, that production is all about acknowledging the men and women who make up our emergency services.
Unfortunately at this time they are still working hard to restore Toowoomba to it's prior glory, cleaning up the mess and God knows what else. Just not the right time to ask them to come and let us make a fuss over them.
So Tania will do it for us. We will still acknowledge the emergency services within the show we are calling, "Tania Kernaghan presents Toowoomba Back on Track" All the families that have been effected by the flood will be invited to attend a day at the Toowoomba Show at no cost. Free rides all day for their children, free show bag, we'll feed and water them and give them VIP seating for the evening entertainment program followed by Fireworks.
This event is not a fund raiser, we feel that people have doug deep already as best they can. AND NOW IT'S CAIRNS! There's a limit as to what people can give financially. So this is all about giving back to the people, give them a great day out at the show at no cost.
Tania Kernaghan presents TOOWOOMBA BACK ON TRACK will be performed in the main arena each night of the show at 7:15pm.
