They're in an Arena
AND THEY'RE SPECTACULAR!
Ozworks creative director Mark Eady was first asked to
produce an Arena Spectacular as the feature marketing and
entertainment attraction at the 2002 Sydney Royal Easter
Show.
The 18000 seat arena was at capacity all 10 nights of Easter Show which indicated that show visitors knew about the Arena Spectacular before they arrived to the Show Grounds. Visitors were clearly planning their show day with their families to enjoy the Royal Easter Show and all it had to offer throughout the day and then going to the Main Arena for the feature attraction followed by fireworks.
Since then Ozworks has taken the formula of the Arena Spectacular created in Sydney and offered it to Show Societies throughout regional Australia with one MAJOR DIFFERENCE.
MINIMAL COST

Where the Arena Productions in Sydney had modest budgets, other non Royal Shows could not sustain anywhere near the same budgets.
What Mark Eady has done is for smaller shows is use what funds are available to create the framework for the Arena Spectacular to be presented i.e. concert standard sound, theatrical lighting, staging and set construction.
As
a creative producer Mark then works out a strong,
marketable theme for the Arena Spectacular and then create
a unique 60 minutes production involving the talents and
skills of local performers, artists, clubs, organizations,
schools, enthusiasts and more to create a unique feature
attraction.
"Most of the productions I've chosen have been iconic Australian themes such as, "Ned Kelly", "The Waltzing Matilda Story", "Phar Lap", "The Man from Snowy River", "Salute to the Outback" because nobody else is out there doing it and they're stories just begging to be told." Says Ozworks creative producer Mark Eady.
Not only are these professionally produced slick productions entertaining they also give the hundreds of performers and participants the opportunity to be seen on the big stage in front of thousands of people each night.
The very best and nothing less...
PUBLIC AUDITIONS
Part of the important building process of the Arena
Spectacular is finding the right people to be in
it.
Lifting the lid on the local communities where the spectaculars are produced and extracting the wealth of local talent is a fun and engaging process that also builds a buzz withing the community as performers register to audition.
"Not only does this process uncover some
really talented people it's also a very effective way of
building your event as people talk about it and media groups
enthusiastically get involved."
Says Producer Eady.
"You never know who's out there looking for a creative vehicle of expression to show off their talent and skills and the Arena Spectacular does that"
Ozworks is always looking for talent, not
only for these arena productions but also for productions and
events it produces around the world.

So PERFORMERS keep your eyes open on the Ozworks Auditions pages for opportunities.
This short video will demonstrate the process of creating one of these arena spectacular events.
